Designed a cardiac catheterization laboratory/operating room from four existing operating rooms

Recently, JC Blair Memorial Hospital created a new service line for cardiac care. JPT was requested to create a cardiac catheterization laboratory/operating room from their four existing operating rooms. The design required enlarging an existing operating room to meet current guidelines and vendor requirements for the equipment. A second component was to relocate the endoscopy suite so enlargement of the catheterization laboratory/operating room, control and equipment rooms would be accommodated. All of this work was accomplished while the existing operating suite remained operational - careful consideration of ICRA barrier containment was critical to the success of the project.
