Mount Nittany Medical Center - Linear Accelerator Renovation in State College, PA
JPT designed the recently constructed Linear Accelerator Suite for Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College, PA. The project was a renovation of their original Linear Accelerator located within the medical center's main hospital. The new Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator required upgraded electrical conduit carefully routed thru existing walls and structural floor slab, additional primary barrier shielding, new casework and a new shielded vault door. Patients now receive their external beam radiation cancer treatment in a state of the art suite that is more appropriate visually and more accommodating for staff providing treatment.
