This Central Pennsylvania Hospital recently unveiled its 26,000 SF cardiovascular pavilion at its facility. Open to patients on September 4, 2018, the space updated cardiac catheterization laboratory and electrophysiology lab spaces. Some of the new design elements within the cardiovascular pavilion include the cardiovascular and electrophysiology flex-labs, an EKG exam room, eight pre/recovery bays and four echocardiology/stress test rooms. The space has been expanded for patients and staff along with added patient privacy features. According to an article written by the health system, since July of 2018, “the cardiovascular team has responded to more than 900 heart alerts, and currently performs more than 6,600 tests and procedures every year to treat conditions ranging from heart rhythm disturbances to heart attacks and heart failure.
